I'm Lustryess and I have many eating conditions. This blog is to help me figure out what I can eat. Well, it was anyway. I figured as I tried to put up post that it required a ton of reading and I'm not one for reading about those kind of things. I'll still post up things that I can eat because there's so little but that's not going to be the man focus of this blog anymore :) I put a password on this at first anyways so it's not like anyone saw it. Well, you know my name so I guess I'll continue on about the most important thing in my life. My eating conditions. Care to read the rest if you want. It'll tell you about me. Somewhat.
My first condition is one that I've seen a lot of people have. I'm lactose intolerant. My second condition is that I'm allergic to milk.
You're looking at those two conditions and you're like "There's difference?" My answer to you: Yes! Defiantly!
Lactose Intolerant just means that I can't digest lactose (What dairy contains) while being allergic to it means I get a severe reaction to it. Now BEFORE I would only get itchy as in, I used to have a mild reaction to it. NOW as time has passed it has gotten worse and as of August 20th, 2012 I have found out that I have a severe case of eczema due to the reactions over time.
So How Did You Get Them?
I fell into a river when I was in the Philippines visiting my family. I had an open would in my leg causing the staph to go inside my body. I would have been fine if I used warm water but at that time I was already used to the cold water and was told to just take a shower. So I did. Turns out, a few hours later, my whole leg had been infected and I had to go to a local hospital.
What the staph did to me:
I guess that the staph reacted to my milk allergy. I'm not entirely sure but all I know is that the staph made my milk allergy worse causing me to get a worse reaction now. I didn't think about it until now. But that following August (I went in December) I started to get a rash on my hand starting with my middle finger. I continued to eat dairy because all I had to do was take a pill for it. No big deal right? Not this time. My stomach was fine but the rash of my finger got worse and eventually spread onto my knuckles and the fingers next to my middle finger. Not until it spread onto my other hand did we finally do something about it. Well, something major. We went to the doctor for it once and they gave me this medicine that didn't work. Yea I didn't put it on as much as I was supposed to but at the same time. It only made the rash worse! It would heal a layer of my skin and not actually kill what was going on.
I'm recovering now. [June 10, 2012] But the healing process of this has taken at least two weeks maybe more...
I was born lactose intolerant is the other reason.
I know I should have said this at the top but I wanted to keep those separate from this one. I also can't eat pasta, rice, noodles, or anything as such because of the thing that appeared on my hand. It is affected if I eat those as well so there goes that option.
I've heard of a lot of people being allergic to gluten. Hey people who are, I'm here for you too! :) I'm hoping that this blog can help you as well since I can't eat those either.
[June 10 2012] I found out today that I couldn't eat corn either so there goes all of the options of wheat and grains!
I'll reblog what I stumble upon that I think can help. But here's a tip that I can give you right off the bat. Be happy. There's so much you can be grateful for! That's the first step in any situation. Thinking about what you can't eat can make you feel bad and thus make you feel unhappy. Did you know that the word stressed spelled backward is desserts? So eat when you're upset. Some people anyway. The point is though, it's better to look at what you can do rather than what you can't. You think that you don't have a lot of choices in food? Think about me. I can hardly eat anything. Although, that's why I'm trying to figure out what I can eat so I don't feel bad when I see someone eating my favorite dairy product.... cheese cake. Just kidding, I'll probably still feel upset about that but at least I know I can eat something just as good. I don't know what that is just yet but I'm ready to find out :D
Do you know someone who has cancer?
I know of one person who isn't in this world anymore. She was my Aunt Aida. Although I found something out.... Eating healthy can help cure cancer! You're looking at this text like: You're joking. I'm sorry but that's not funny. But I'll say to you again: It's true! The correct diet for a cancer patient is to become Vegan. Now what is vegan? Well, you can't eat meat. Sorry! Nor can you eat ANY dairy products. Zilch! Nada! Don't even think about it! And lastly about fish you can eat fish :) and DO NOT make any exceptions. No. Not for birthday parties, celebrations, or anything as such. You do? And it goes downhill. I would know.
So for those of you who know of someone who has cancer I want to help you out as well. There will be dishes that they can't eat that I will post up because I can eat them but I'll make sure to state that they can't eat it :)
Last thing. I'm a sixteen year old that's about to be a junior at my high school. Don't think that just because I'm 'older' means that you can't handle it. Did anyone think for a moment that I might be an adult? Well I'm a young adult but I'm still a teenager and if I can make the transition after all these years. You can too.
[July 21st, 2012] I haven't posted anything for a month but that's because I've been busy and I haven't been sure how to work this blog. I'll be having surgery here in three days on my arm to take out the infection. Turns out that I had ringworm on my hands and staph in my arm. Go figure. Also, my sister asked me what I wanted to eat today and I stared at the phone like: I don't know.... So! I'll try this again!
[September 2nd, 2012] Now I'm back for sure. Lol. It's not like it makes a difference since no one saw the 'past' post. I'm planning on using this blog for my photography or and others' photography like my twin and niece. Yes, I have a twin! I'll get into that on a different link since know that I wrote so much. But the point is I'm using this for my photos and I hope you enjoy.
[October 31, 2012] Last thing I want to mention: I’m OCD just like my twin. Seriously. I have almost every post in a category so if you’re looking for something specific of mine just go to the pages and pick from there. I promise you, there will a lot and that’s why I’m not naming them now. Haha. Thanks for reading :).
